UK Cameron Outlook IMF Brown dashes (AP)

London - Prime Minister David Cameron Britain insisted Tuesday that his predecessor Gordon Brown should not become a candidate at the head of the International Monetary Fund the next leader should be the first outside Europe.

Cameron said that Brown is perhaps not a suitable candidate to replace Dominique Strauss-Khan, for his opinions on what must be done to sort public finances of Britain. Loans in Britain during the premiership of Brown, bloom in the wake of the financial crisis and the recession that ensued.

The Prime Minister, said that the next Chief should be someone who "understands the dangers of excessive indebtedness" and suggested that the IMF should turn to emerging economies in China or India, a candidate for South Asia, instead of a "washed up politician."

"It may be that it is time really to have a candidate from another part of the world to strengthen its position in the world," he said.

Who should mark a change in direction for the IMF, which was led by a European since its formation after the second world war. Frenchman Strauss-Khan is widely tipped to leave the position he has held since late 2007 later this year and perhaps make a race to the Presidency of his country in 2012.

Since the arrival in power last may, Cameron coalition Government established 81 billion pounds ($132 billion) worth of reductions in spending. The opposition of the Labor Party, which leads to Brown is no longer, called for moderation of slower and less serious budget.

"If you have someone who didn't think that we had a problem of the debt - to the United Kingdom when we clearly have a problem of the debt - then they could not be the person most appropriate to determine whether the other countries of the world have problems of debt and the deficit" Cameron stated in the "." BBC radio.

The existing agreement, is that the European Union proposed Director General of the IMF, which effectively hands Cameron a right of veto over the process. During this time, the United States proposes the President of the Organization, the World Bank IMF sister.
