"We continue to have positive discussions with the Chinese Government officials, as we look at this opportunity", Geoff Walsh, Coca-Cola and Public Affairs Director of communication for the Asia-Pacific, said the paper.
Walsh could not be immediately reached for comment Wednesday.
In October, the company opened three plants bottling in the region of China Mongolia inland at a cost of approximately $ 246 million, part of its plan of expansion of $ 2 billion in the country, over three years, said the report.
Coca-Cola of stock currently trades on the New York Stock Exchange.
